Almost 70 poems on subjects include cricketing greats from the past, Don Bradman, Ray Lindwall, Keith Miller, Neil Harvey and Arthur Morris, rugby stars Matt Burke, George Gregan and John Eales, an ode to the Wallabies, as well as poems on boxing ( including 5 on the legend Les Darcy) racing and various other sporting heroes including Wayne Harris and Cathy Freeman.

Sport The way I speak it is a mix of verse on people like the Ella Brothers, Mark Loane, Marty Roebuck, David Campese, Les Darcy, Vic Patrick, Phar Lap, Tulloch, Bernborough and a series of amusing anecdotes on the author's 20 year Rugby coaching career which included five years with Parramatta (1977-81), five years with Eastwood (1986-1990)and four years with the Sydney representative team (1982-1985).
